Abstract :
The present article starts with giving the definitions of peace from different views as well as the necessity and significance of peace studies and their reflection on establishing and maintaining global peace and reconciling local and international challenges. Consequently it hints on the manner of formation of local and international organizations after the occurrence of local, international, and world wars. As for the maintenance of global peace with regard to global new order for achieving a stable peace, it surveys the issue of establishing the global governmance .The effect of politic, development, and peace thinking view on universal actions for the prevention of war ,and keeping the powers balance is discussed .Scholars views are also studied and a conceptual framework is set forth. Finally after summarizing, the present article puts forward issues on peace studies which are still subjects of further research.
